Sapienza is committed to promoting application, enhancement, dissemination, and transfer of knowledge, placing itself at the service of society. Alongside its two primary functions, teaching and research, the university develops concrete actions in collaboration with institutions, businesses, and civil society.
At DICEA, these activities are developed in two main areas:

-Academic entrepreneurship (spin-offs/start-ups)
-Management of intellectual and industrial property (patents)
-Third-party contracts and agreements
•Production of public goods, which includes:
-Management of cultural heritage (libraries and the Hydraulic Museum)
-Sustainability initiatives and SDG2030
-Scientific dissemination (conferences and symposia)
-Projects with schools
-Public service activities (architectural and urban planning projects)
