The Department Council consists of the following members, with voting rights according to their respective legal competencies:

• all tenured professors;
• all researchers, including fixed-term researchers, and equivalent personnel affiliated with the Department;
• the Delegated Administrative Manager, serving as secretary;
• representatives of technical-administrative staff;
• representatives of PhD students, postgraduates and students assigned a thesis by Department professors (1st option);
• up to three representatives of research grant holders or multi-year research contract holders working in the Department.

The Department Council typically meets quarterly.
